Profane languages is immoral,dirty,indecent,filthy,lewd or unwholesome talk. The Bible instructs teh Christain to reject profane, vain or godless chatter. As a believer profane words must never be part of your language.
Some years back when i was at Adisadel College, there was a student who was loaded wit hprofane jokes.He would speak obscentites and make lewd suggestion all say long. When we arrived at the dorm, it wouldn't take him long to produce some off-colour story with sexual innuedoes.
Ther are many workplaces like taht with indecent people who try to involved you in their godless chatter. But the Bible says taht this godless chattter will only lead to more ungodliness. PROFANE LANGUAGES DEFILES THE PERSON SPEAKING ANDDEFILES TEH HEARER AS WELL.
ANDTHERE SHALL IN NO WISE ENTER INTO IT ANY THING THAT DEFILETH....REV 21:27.
Understand one thing: death and life aare in the power of the tongue. Spirituality and carnality are ther fore under teh control of the tongue. YOU BECOME CARNAL AND GODLESS AS YOUALLOW OUR TONGUE TO KEEP SPEAKING INDECENT THINGS. remember that singing is almost the same as speaking.Songs are basically words with a melody.
When i was reading my Advance Diploma in London there was a hall of residence which had a profane choir. They modify holy and beautiful hymns written by great men of God, replacing teh original words with detaild descriptions of teh sexual organs and the sexual act.
Many Christians who lived in the hall of residence which has this profane choir have complined in later years that they found it difficult to sing some of these songs and hymns in church. They had heard the profane versions for so long that during worship times these obscene lyrics would immidiately come to mind.
These students also had their ow version of the national anthem. Some of you may just laugh it off. But this is no joke-this is one of the deadly poisons of the tongue.

I know that there are some christians who need 'spiritual' mouthwash. They are Christians all right but their tongues need a bit of cleansing
